Sandra Rocha Kaufman

From an early age my parents at my request, enrolled me in oil painting classes. This is the basis and bedrock of my lifelong enchantment with art.. After graduating from Chouinard Art Institute I spent more than 25 years designing
women’s fashions and theatrical stage costumes. I joined the Theatre Department at George Fox University as adjunct
professor teaching Costume Design and History of Costume. as well as designing for several productions. I spent many years creating garden sculpture and more recently, hand painted jewelry and selling these at art festivals
and markets. This last year I have returned to painting, my first love.
