Julie S Mantis

Julie Mantis is a painter inspired by the quiet beauty of everyday life. Working primarily in oils, she explores color, shape, and composition to share her artistic vision. Her work is shaped by travel and personal experience, reflecting the places and moments that have left a lasting impression.

She began visiting Clackamas County in 2016 and has since relocated to Oregon City, drawn to a landscape that had long inspired her during trips to visit family in the area. The region’s quiet scenery and natural beauty have been an inspiration for several paintings over the last decade. Julie is a member of the Clackamas Art Alliance Board, Three Rivers Artist Guild, and North Clackamas Arts Guild.

Julie studied visual arts at New York University and the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. She also worked as a graphic artist during the pre-digital era, a background that shaped her compositional style and visual sensitivity.

Julie’s work has been exhibited in Laguna Beach, California; Cambridge, Massachusetts; and several galleries in Clackamas Counting including West Linn, Gladstone, Canby, and Clackamas.
