Becky Dawson

Becky Dawson is the artist and illustrator behind One Lane Road. She lives on a slice of country heaven just outside Portland, Oregon, with her husband, daughters, cats, dog, a giant treehouse, and a Bigfoot sculpture in the front yard. Her work is shaped by happy accidents, 1980s fantasy, nature, joyful moments of everyday life, humor, and curiosity. As a third-generation Oregonian, Becky is deeply rooted in Pacific Northwest culture and constantly inspired by the forests, towns, and people of the place she calls home. She works from two home studios. In one, she paints and draws and designs for her gift product line that includes illustrated tea towels, tote bags, greeting cards, and stickers. In the other, she runs a devoted ceramics studio, where she happily squishes clay into sculptures that are cute, a little creepy, and full of personality.
