Laura Strudwick

As an avid backpacker and hiker, I find many of my subjects in the wilderness, especially on Mt. Hood, where I live. I go from trail to studio, painting from my photographs of landscapes or animals, often taken in hard-to-reach places in nature. I paint in watercolor, acrylic, and oil. I find inspiration in my backyard on the mountain, where the ordinary is extraordinary. I strive to capture nature’s vibrant colors and gorgeous light.

I vend at art festivals, farmers markets, and holiday bazaars, selling original paintings, fine art giclée prints, matted photographs, note cards, and stickers.
